Groovy Grove campground

weekend camping pass, no hookups
Rigs must be less than 24' including towed items

The Groovy Grove campground is for vans and other small rigs that are up to 24 feet in length (including any towed items).

The Grove is broken into the East and West sections separated by Bloom Ave and Main Street runs through the middle of the West section. It’s generally the closest vehicle camping to the main activity area (Village Green). Please see our village map for location details.

Campers are parked in rows by our usher team that forms streets in our mountain van village! The Western part of Groovy Groove will be filled first and then we will usher rigs into the Eastern part. So, if you prefer to be in the Western Grove, be sure to arrive early but, as a result, expect longer wait times to get into the site! These are not pre-assigned spots. If you would like to park near/next to friends, we recommend that you meet up outside of the park and drive in together so that you end up being parked next to each other.

Generators are NOT allowed in the Groovy Grove so you’ll have to be self-sufficient with solar or the ability to recharge your batteries when idling your vehicle.

The van/RV camping is on a slight downward slope that will require about 2-3% correction if you want to level your rig with something like rocks/blocks or Flat-Jacks. The site is grassy hard-packed clay with various plants mowed short (including some small cactus) with a thin layer of powdery clay soil that can become pretty sticky after a short rain. The site is open to the sky with only small shrubs and no large trees which is ideal for solar and those using Starlink. Also be prepared for natural, uneven terrain with small rocks and be sure that your vehicle is capable of navigating that type of environment (tires, ground clearance, etc.). Once camped, you’ll enjoy the abundant nature, wildlife and incredible views of the mountains to the west and of the plains to the east.

Here are a few photos.

You can access Chillville from Main Street and walking through the Groovy Grove. This campground is for rigs that are over 24 feet in length (including any towed items). Please see our village map for location details.

TENT CAMPING

weekend camping pass, no hookups car parking included, walk-in to tent sites

The designated tent camping areas are the Hummingbird Meadow and the Mellow Meadow that are on the top and bottom of the main activity area (Village Green). These can be located on our village map.

The meadows are grassy hard-packed clay with various plants mowed short (including some small cactus) with a thin layer of powdery clay soil that can become pretty sticky after a short rain. The meadows are mostly open to the sun but it’s surrounded by wooded areas that can provide shade around the perimeter. There are no roads/paths in the meadows which means that they are walk-in campsites but we will provide a free shuttle between the vehicle parking area and the two tent camping meadows during these times:

  • Friday – 11am and 7pm
  • Sunday – 2pm – 6pm
  • Monday – 9am – 12pm

Alternatively, consider bringing a cart/wagon that can be used to transport your camping gear from your parked vehicle to your campsite. Tent campers are also welcome to find a wild site anywhere on the 360 acre ranch other than the official campgrounds as long as you’re willing to transport your gear to that site without a vehicle. There are nearly endless possibilities for this wild camping – from spots near the creek to areas far beyond the main activity areas to a simple hammock between trees.

Here are a few photos of the Mellow Meadow and Hummingbird Meadow tent campgrounds.

for sale row

weekend camping pass, no hookups
Allows rigs longer than 24'

This camping ticket allows you to be parked in the prominent “For Sale Row” that will feature rigs that are for sale in a high-traffic area that is just North of the Groovy Grove West area near where Main Street heads down into the Village Green (main activity area).

Space is VERY limited so please purchase this quickly if you want a space in this area.

This area is relatively flat but be prepared for slight level corrections if want to be perfectly level. The site is grassy hard-packed clay with various plants mowed short (including some small cactus) with a thin layer of powdery clay soil that can become pretty sticky after a short rain. The site is open to the sky with only small shrubs and no large trees which is ideal for solar and those using Starlink. Add-on tickets

Additional Attendee Add-On – $25

All the camping passes include 2x attendees. Please purchase one of these add-on tickets for any attendees beyond 2x. For example, if your group has 4x people, you’ll need to purchase 2x of these add-ons.  Children 10 or under do not need an additional attendee ticket. All attendees sharing a camping ticket must arrive at the same time in the same vehicle.

Additional Pet Add-On - $10

We love our furry friends as much as anyone. All tickets (both camping and day pass) include 1x pet. If you have more than one pet, please purchase one of these add-ons for each additional pet. For example, if you have two dogs you’ll need to purchase one of these add-on tickets.

early/thursday arrival - $50

Campers can arrive on Friday between11:00am and 6:30pm. If you arrive earlier in the day on Friday you will have an approximately 1-hour wait in line. Imagine 500+ vans coming into the park at once! Even though our event and team are extremely organized, we can’t work miracles.

So, you you do NOT want to wait in a long line to get into the site, we recommend you either arrive later on Friday (after 2-3pm) or consider purchasing this early arrival add-on ticket. While there still may be a line, it will likely be shorter because many people cannot arrive on Thursday. We’re also limiting the number of these early arrival add-ons we’re selling to 150 tickets.
