WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE? WHAT IS PEACE LOVE & VANS?

Peace Love & Vans (formerly other, “illegal” names) is a one-of-a-kind van festival! Imagine hundreds of vans in a beautiful, natural setting, with thousands of like-minded adventurous people coming together to form a utopian van village for a weekend. Then throw in an industry expo, contests, raffles, awesome live music and a Tiki bar!

We started Peace Love & Vans in 2023 in Florida and now host annual events in both Florida and Colorado.

Read more about the event and what makes it unique here.

Please check out our overview page for our festivals for complete details on dates and more!

There are six types of weekend camping tickets. Please see our ticketing pages for more details.

– Florida Camping Tickets

When you arrive you’ll need to show the welcome tent your PDF ticket (digital or printed) which will show which type of campground ticket you purchased. You’ll be provided a welcome folder full of goodies that includes a camping permit on the front as well as wristbands for your group and pets. Please also have any “add-on” tickets available in print or digital form during check-in. You’ll show the camping permit on the folder to our ushers and they’ll guide you into your campground.

You can see the location of the various campgrounds on our maps:

– Florida Maps

The Groovy Grove is the main campground where most weekend pass attendees will be camping. It’s a grassy field with a few trees spread around. There are no hookups in this camping area. We’ll be arranging rigs into “rows” and “streets” and parking so that van slider doors face each other. Note that you must be in this campground or the Chillvillle campground to participate in OpenVan tours and the DIY Build Contest (see location-specific schedule pages for more info). Rigs are limited to 24 feet (including vehicle and any towed items) in this campground. You will not be assigned specific sites. If you would like to park near/next to friends, we recommend that you meet up outside of the park and drive in together so that you end up being parked next to each other. Trailers of any kind are not permitted in this campground and yes, this includes towed vehicles – anything that is not part of the main vehicle.

The Birds of a Feather Campground is our group camping area located next to the main, Groovy Grove campground. It’s also on a large grassy field with no hookups. If you want to camp with other similar vehicles in this group camp please let the person who checks you in at the welcome know and they’ll give you the right camping permit. We have “streets” for the following groups. Please email us if you’d like to form a new group!

  • Go Small, Live Large – Scott Watson
  • Winnebago Travatos
  • Winnebago Revels
  • Embassy RV
**Note, we will do our best to make sure you’re in your selected group’s row, but you might be parked one row adjacent depending on availability.

Chillville is located on the northern edge of the village site. It’s just far enough away from the main activities that it’s a little more quiet and chill. Like the other campgrounds, it’s a grassy area where rigs will be parked into rows that form streets. Chillville also allows rigs over 24 feet long or rigs with towed items. If you would like to park near/next to friends, we recommend that you meet up outside of the park and drive in together so that you end up being parked next to each other. This campground is only for bigger rigs and space is limited so please do not purchase this ticket if you have a smaller van. Note that you must be in this campground or the Groovy Grove campground to participate in OpenVan tours and the DIY Build Contest (see location-specific schedule pages for more info).

The Connected Camp is for those who purchased the “water & electric plug-ins” add-on ticket or have rigs over 30′ in length. It’s on the far side of the grassy field and, of course, has hook-ups! If you purchased the add-on, you’ll have a separate ticket for that and you’ll get a Connected Camp camping permit during check-in.

The RV Forest is a wooded and secluded campground across Shakedown Street from the exhibitors. If you purchased a premium, RV Forest ticket you have been assigned a specific spot in this campground and will be given the RV Forest camping permit. RV Forest has a small bathroom with a hot shower. You’ll be provided the door code for this facility. Please see ticketing page for details.

For Sale Row camping tickets allows you to be parked in the prominent, high-traffic areas that are shown as “for sale rigs” on the maps. In Florida “For Sale Row” along the northern side of Big Ma Road (see map). The location of For Sale Row in Colorado is still being determined but will be shown on the Colorado maps.

Space is VERY limited so please purchase this quickly if you want a space in this area.

Tent campers: There are no official tent sites. Let us know if you have questions around this.

There are four types of weekend camping tickets. Please see our ticketing pages for more details.

– Colorado Camping Tickets

When you arrive you’ll need to show the welcome tent your PDF ticket (digital or printed) which will show which type of campground ticket you purchased. You’ll be provided a welcome folder full of goodies that includes a camping permit on the front as well as wristbands for your group and pets. Please also have any “add-on” tickets available in print or digital form during check-in. You’ll show the camping permit on the folder to our ushers and they’ll guide you into your campground.

Please read the information in our FAQs about “preparing for an epic weekend of camping at the Hummingbird Ranch”.

The Groovy Grove campground is for vans and other small rigs that are up to 24 feet in length (including any towed items).

The Grove is broken into the East and West sections separated by Bloom Ave and Main Street runs through the middle of the West section. It’s generally the closest vehicle camping to the main activity area (Village Green). Please see our village map for location details.

Campers are parked in rows by our usher team that forms streets in our mountain van village! The Western part of Groovy Groove will be filled first and then we will usher rigs into the Eastern part. So, if you prefer to be in the Western Grove, be sure to arrive early but, as a result, expect longer wait times to get into the site! These are not pre-assigned spots. If you would like to park near/next to friends, we recommend that you meet up outside of the park and drive in together so that you end up being parked next to each other.

Generators are NOT allowed in the Groovy Grove so you’ll have to be self-sufficient with solar or the ability to recharge your batteries when idling your vehicle.

Here are a few photos.

The Chillville campground is South of the Groovy Groove a little farther away from the action at the main activity areas. You can access Chillville from Main Street and walking through the Groovy Grove. This campground is for rigs that are over 24 feet in length (including any towed items). Please see our village map for location details.

Chillville allows generators between the hours of 10am and 6pm.

Campers are parked in rows by our usher team that forms streets in our mountain van village! These are not pre-assigned spots. If you would like to park near/next to friends, we recommend that you meet up outside of the park and drive in together so that you end up being parked next to each other.

The North Groovy Grove is separated from Chillville with a arroyo/ditch.

Here are a few photos.

The designated tent camping areas are the Hummingbird Meadow and the Mellow Meadow that are on the top and bottom of the main activity area (Village Green). The meadows are grassy hard-packed clay with various plants mowed short (including some small cactus) with a thin layer of powdery clay soil that can become pretty sticky after a short rain. The meadows are mostly open to the sun but it’s surrounded by wooded areas that can provide shade around the perimeter. There are no roads/paths in the meadows which means that they are walk-in campsites but we will provide a free shuttle between the vehicle parking area and the two tent camping meadows during the following times:

  • Friday – 11am and 7pm
  • Sunday – 2pm – 6pm
  • Monday – 9am – 12pm

Alternatively, consider bringing a cart that can be used to transport your camping gear from your parked vehicle to your campsite. Tent campers are also welcome to find a wild site anywhere on the 360 acre ranch other than the official campgrounds as long as you’re willing to transport your gear to that site without a vehicle. There are nearly endless possibilities for this wild camping – from spots near the creek to areas far beyond the main activity areas to a simple hammock between trees.

Here are a few photos of the Mellow Meadow and Hummingbird Meadow tent campgrounds.

Please check out our village map for reference to the various campgrounds and other features of the site.

The first thing to know and consider is that this is a wild space in the foothills of the Rockies at around 7,800 feet with no hookups. As such, you’re likely to experience the entire range of early summer weather that Colorado has a reputation for delivering including warm sunny weather in the 80’s, cool evenings down into the 40’s or 50’s, thunderstorms with intermittent rain and everything in-between!

We recommend dressing in layers so you can be comfortable throughout the day as the weather shifts. Coloradans always say “if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes” which certainly rings true to us!

During our site visits we saw lots of incredible wildlife including a variety of insects, deer, a mountain lion and a snake. We imagine that most of these critters will try to avoid our village when the human population peaks but don’t be surprised to see some wildlife out there in the wild!

Like all spots along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, it can get very windy with gusts up to 40-50 MPH. So, please plan accordingly and be sure that any awnings/tents/etc. are secured effectively. If the weather is dry, the wind can blow the fine surface dust around.

The van/RV camping is on a slight downward slope that will require about 2-3% correction if you want to level your rig with something like rocks/blocks or Flat-Jacks. The site is grassy hard-packed clay with various plants mowed short (including some small cactus) with a thin layer of powdery clay soil that can become pretty sticky after a short rain. The site is open to the sky with only small shrubs and no large trees which is ideal for solar and those using Starlink. Also be prepared for natural, uneven terrain with small rocks and be sure that your vehicle is capable of navigating that type of environment (tires, ground clearance, etc.). Once camped, you’ll enjoy the abundant nature, wildlife and incredible views of the mountains to the west and of the plains to the east.

There are no roads/paths in the meadows which means that they are walk-in campsites but we will provide a free shuttle between the vehicle parking area and the two tent camping meadows during these times:

  • Friday – 11am and 7pm
  • Sunday – 2pm – 6pm
  • Monday – 9am – 12pm

Alternatively, consider bringing a cart/wagon that can be used to transport your camping gear from your parked vehicle to your campsite.

We’ll be providing a ton of groovy site lighting throughout the main activity areas but the campgrounds will be dark at night with amazing opportunities for star gazing! Be sure to bring a headlamp/flashlight for navigating the site after dark.

Please note that the ranch is in a rural area that is a minimum of 30 minutes from medical care. We will have a first aid area and EMTs on site but they will not be equipped for a major medical emergency.

We will have basic hot shower stalls available with a purchase price of $5 for up to a 10-minute shower located at the western end of the Groovy Grove campground.

You should come prepared with the following:

  • Clothing that suits the entire range of weather conditions you’re likely to experience in a single day (see above)
  • Plenty of food and water – we will have food trucks and a water station but you’re welcome to bring in your own food and beverages including alcoholic beverages.
  • Sunscreen and sun protection.
  • Jackets/ponchos/umbrellas and other gear for rain.
  • Flashlights/headlamps and other light sources for your campsite and navigating the site after dark.
  • Leveling equipment for your van/RV if you want to correct for the slope (see above)
  • Credit card for purchases of event merchandise, food, beverages, drinks, ice, etc.
  • If you’re in a van/RV we recommend having a full water tank and some kind toilet system. There is no place to fill or dump tanks on site.
  • A bicycle (including e-bike) for getting around the site in style.
  • If you’re tent camping, we recommend having a cart/wagon for moving your gear (see above).

What will be available on site for purchase:

  • Food trucks (see schedule for details).
  • Ice.
  • Firewood
  • Event merchandise (shirts, stickers, etc.).
  • Showers.
  • Cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), beer and wine from our Tiki bar.

Please see our complete schedule for the Florida festival or Colorado festival.

If you arrive earlier in the day on Friday you will have an approximately 1-hour wait in line. Imagine 500+ vans coming into the site at once! Even though our event and team are extremely organized, we can’t work miracles.

So, you you do NOT want to wait in a long line to get into the site, we recommend you either arrive later on Friday (after 2-3pm) or consider purchasing this early arrival add-on ticket (see camping ticket pages for Florida and Colorado. While there still may be a line, it will likely be shorter because many people cannot arrive on Thursday. We’re also limiting the number of these early arrival add-ons we’re selling to 150 tickets.

We will have WIFI for our event staff only so you’ll need to rely on your own internet connection such as WIFI or mobile data from your wireless provider. The site is rural so their is very limited connectivity to cell towers which are designed for the local population which is quite small. Stated another way, the cell towers tend to get overwhelmed in the area during the event since we have thousands of people attending. If you need internet connectivity, we recommend using something like Starlink.

FLORIDA EVENT

Normally, open fires are NOT allowed in the open field where we create our van village campgrounds. This information EXCLUDES the RV Forest tickets.

However, the Pasco County Fire & Parks Departments have graciously authorized the use of  “solo stoves”, BBQ grills, and similar items but you must have a CERTIFIED 2-A:10-B:C fire extinguisher.  Importantly, a brand-new fire extinguisher is NOT certified, you must have a professional company certify it (take to a fire extinguisher inspection company and have it inspected and tagged).

We will have arranged to have certified fire extinguishers for rent by purchasing the $50 add-on ticket or you can bring your own.  If you want to rent a certified fire extinguisher, you MUST purchase the add-on ticket at least 1 week before the event. We will be removing this option at that time so we can coordinate with the provider of the units. We will not have extra fire extinguishers for rent at the event.  The Fire Department will be there issuing citations to anyone who has an open fire without a certified 2-A:10-B:C fire extinguisher.

Note, that this only pertains to open flames OUTSIDE of your rig. A cooktop, etc. inside your rig does not require a certified fire extinguisher.  Any propane device that produces an open flame (outside the vehicle) is not permitted without a CERTIFIED 2-A:10-B:C fire extinguisher.  Open flames inside the vehicle are permitted without a CERTIFIED 2-A:10-B:C fire extinguisher, (but it is good practice to have a fire extinguisher in your rig at all times.) We will have a few campfires each evening in the Leafy Lounge and you can also bring your own “solo stove” or BBQ grill to the lounge WITHOUT the need for a certified fire extinguisher.

COLORADO EVENT

TBD. The event is held in June which is normally early enough into the summer season that there are no fire bans but we will update our information as we know more from the local authorities.

Sure, you’re welcome to advertise your rig for sale at your campground!

We also have a very limited number of tickets for camping in our “For Sale Row” on the Florida and Colorado ticketing pages which is located in a prominent location, For the Florida event, this is along the northern edge of Big Ma Road. In Colorado this will be north of the Groovy Groove. Check it out on the maps for Florida or Colorado

Yes there is a waiting list and you can join for camping tickets:

We will be opening camping passes to those registered on the waiting list as we receive cancellations (see our REFUND POLICY below). Also, during the event, if there is available space because campers did not come, we will open up pro-rated camping tickets to day pass ticket holders after 4pm on Friday and Saturday. These camping tickets are based on availability, on a first come, first serve basis and are not guaranteed. For instance, if everyone shows up, we cannot release any additional camping tickets. Pro-rated camping passes are $106 for Saturday & Sunday (for sale on Friday at 4pm, based on availability) and $53 for Sunday (for sale on Saturday at 4pm, based on availability). These tickets must be purchased on-site at the Vanlife Outfitters Pavilion.

While our official policy is that we don’t offer refunds on tickets, there are some cases where we are able to make exceptions. We try to be as helpful and accommodating as possible while making sure that the event is successful for all attendees. These exceptions include extreme hardship or when there is adequate time to resell a cancelled ticket to others on our wait lists.

In those cases, refunds are subject to a 20% cancellation fee
which covers a) credit card processing fees that are not refunded to us as the merchant, b) administrative overhead and coordination and c) the ticketing fee charged at the time of purchase.

If you don’t see a confirmation email from us (hello@peacelovevans.com) check your “spam” or “promotional” folder to make sure it didn’t get put in there. 99% of the people who email us that they didn’t get their ticket end up finding it in their email spam folder. You can email us if you still can’t find it and we’ll send it to you. However, we encourage you to do this as soon as possible as there may be delays after the Monday prior to the event when we start setting up. It can be printed or on your phone/mobile device, please have your ticket ready when you approach the welcome tent.

Please note that the ticket purchase confirmation email is NOT your ticket. Instead, there is a link to download your ticket in that email. The ticket itself is a PDF file that can be saved to your device/phone or printed. It The PDF ticket contains a QR code that is scanned by our welcome team. Here’s a link to an example ticket PDF from our 2025 event.

If you’re going to use your mobile device for the ticket, please DOWNLOAD the PDF to your phone in case there is spotty mobile data when you arrive. It’s a rural location with lots of people which can make mobile data connectivity slow.

Tickets can only be scanned once and the event team will be able to see when a ticket was scanned. So please be sure to only use a ticket once!

You can email us at hello@peacelovevans.com or call 941-216-5288.

We love all things vanlife and we especially love the vanlife community. We really wanted to see an awesome vanlife event in Florida, and frankly, since no one else was doing it, we decided if we wanted someone to do a gathering in Florida it was up to us to welcome vanlifers to our home state of Florida. As far as we know, Peace Love & Vans was the first vanlife gathering in the state of Florida. With average temperatures in the mid 70’s and less than 1.5” of rain, February / March is the obvious choice for a vanlife gathering in Florida. Learn more on our about page or check out the schedule.

Colorado is one of the most beautiful states in the country and it’s also home to one of the largest communities of vanlifers. There are so many vans there! Colorado is where co-producer, Zach grew up and started his camping journey. Finally, so many attendees of our Florida events encouraged us to bring our unique experience “out west”. So, Colorado was a no-brainer! Then we found the incredible Hummingbird Ranch and we knew we could make a festival happen there that is on par with the Florida events! Check out our Colorado festival page and schedule. And, if you want to be the first to know about ticket sales and all the details, consider subscribing to our email newsletter at the bottom of every page of the site.

The address to the park is 12449 Withlacoochee Blvd, Dade City, FL 33525. We highly recommend taking the north route into the park on River Road from downtown Dade City. You can use Google Maps to get yourself to the intersection of highway 98 and River Road. The south route to the park takes you on long stretch of Auton Road which is a dirt road that can be rough, dirty and potentially muddy. TAKE RIVER ROAD..DO NOT TAKE AUTON ROAD (we warned you!).

From I-75: exit 293 is the best exit. Google Maps may try to take you to exit 285, but we recommend exit 293 to avoid Auton Rd.

Coming from the north: take highway 98 south and then take a left onto River Road.

Coming from the south:

  • Rake highway 98 north and then take a right onto River Road.
  • Stay on River Road for approximately 2.5 miles.
  • At the three way junction of River Road and Sumner Lake Road, stay left to continue on River Road.
  • Continue approximately 1.9 miles and then turn right onto onto Auton Road (this section is paved).
  • Continue approximately .25 miles and then turn left into the Withlacoochee River Park (Withlacoochee Blvd). You will see our Peace Love & Vans sign at the entrance to the park.

The address to the ranch is 732 Co Rd 653, Rye, CO 81069.

Take exit 64 from I-25. Head west from the exit and continue approximately 6 miles up the dirt road until you reach our welcome tent!

The ranch is about 2.5 hours south of Denver and 45 minutes south of Pueblo.

Definitely not! All types of rigs are welcome, and in Colorado, we also welcome tent camping in a tent while they dream about their future rig. Single-day-use tickets are also available for those who want to attend on Saturday or Sunday to be part of the fun and check out all of the van builds. Please read about the various campgrounds at each festival above.

Vanlife Outfitters started as a blog that detailed Zach’s journey building DIY camper vans with RAM Promaster vans back in 2016. Now we have a store full of carefully curated products for other both DIY and professional builders. It’s a one-stop-shop for all van build products! From unique products that you’ll only find here to our favorite appliances and other road tested camper van parts. We only sell products that we’d use on our own vans.

We’ve done the work of researching (and road testing) the best products for camper vans so you don’t have to. Our catalog of products is carefully curated so you can have confidence you’re getting the best stuff for your van. Learn more here.

The gates to the sites close at 7:00 PM on Friday. It used to close at 6:30 PM but was recently changed. If you are not inside the event entrance by 6:30 PM you will need to wait until 10:00 AM Saturday to enter.

Florida

The event is inside Withlacoochee River Park. The park gates close at 7:00 PM. Once the gates to the park close we cannot open them for entrants. We strongly suggest you get all the supplies needed before the event and enter the park. We can get the gates open for emergencies only but will need to involve park staff and that will be difficult and they will not be happy.

Colorado

The event is inside the Hummingbird Ranch. The ranch gates close at 7:00 PM. Once the gates to the park close we cannot open them for entrants. We strongly suggest you get all the supplies needed before the event and enter the park. We can get the gates open for emergencies only but will need to involve ranch staff and that will be difficult and they will not be happy.

While we don’t encourage leaving on Sunday, this is possible. You will need to visit the Vanlife Outfitters Pavilion to coordinate with an usher/staff member. The usher/staff member will assist you and your neighbors to make sure you have enough space to pull out of your space.

Arriving early doesn’t really get you a better spot and all spaces are pretty much equal. Please see the information on the various campgrounds above. Parking spaces for camping will be assigned in order of arrival at the event. When you check-in, our staff will direct you to the appropriate camping area based on the ticket you purchased (with hook-ups, without hook-ups, etc.).

If you would like to be parked near someone else, we recommend that you stage your group outside the event and all arrive at the same time so that you’ll be parked together when you are parked. Please refer to our Florida or Colorado schedule pages for details. We do not allow early check-ins and arriving early will not get you a better spot.

Van’s will be parked in “rows” that form “streets”. You’ll have about 5-6′ between vans (hood of your van to bumper of next van and visa versa). You’ll also have 10′ of space of space on the passenger side of your van for chairs/awnings, etc. Then there will be a wide “road area” between that and the next row. Your sliding door will open to the van “across the street” from you. The approximate distance between your sliding door and the sliding door of the van “across the street” is approximately 24 feet. On your driver’s side you’ll have about 4 feet from your van to your neighbor on your driver side’s van.

As indicated on the ticketing pages…the total length including all accessories shall not exceed 24′ which includes all accessories, bike racks, etc.” If your rig and any accessories or towed items is 24 feet and 1 inch, please book a camping spot in Chillville. If you book in Groovy Grove and your footprint is over 24′, you will be moved to Chillville and charged the difference or you will be offered a refund and are free to leave. Unfortunately, this has come up in the past and we are not willing to make exceptions.

Yes! This event welcomes everyone including those with disabilities. If you have mobility issues and would like to camp at the event, please email us at hello@peacelovevans.com so that we can share a special ticket purchasing link to camp along the far west side of the village that is close to the action and facilities. If you’re attending with a day pass our team is happy to assist with transportation between the day pass parking area and the Village Green.

Yes, pets are welcome and one pet is included with each ticket. If you have more than one pet, you must purchase a pet add-on ticket (Florida or Colorado) during registration for each pet, and all pets must be leashed at all times during the event. There is a “Doggie Dumpstation” designated area shown on the site map (PDF) for “pet relief”.

Absolutely! All ages are welcome to attend the event. Please note that a ticket must be purchased for everyone attending, including children over 10 years old.

Most definitely!

In Florida, the Withlacoochee River Park offers hiking and biking trails, a river for paddling and floating activities, fishing (permit req.), and much more. Swimming is not allowed at Withlacoochee River Park, but there are numerous beaches, swimming holes and crystal-clear natural springs that allow swimming in the area. But, it’s Florida, kids. Beware of the gators!

In Colorado, adventure awaits in Spanish Peaks Country! Checkout nearby attractions like Bishop Castle, mountain biking or frisbee golf at Cuchara Mountain Park, or visit the wolves at Mission: Wolf. There’s an abundance of trails to hike, fishing and other camping options available in the Pike-San Isabel National Forests. The Great Sand Dunes National Park is a short 1.5 hour drive to the west.

The event will not be canceled due to weather. We had historic levels rain in Florida in 2024 and the event went off without a hitch. Refunds will not be granted if you don’t have fun because it’s raining and no refunds will be given if you can’t attend the event. If the event is canceled or postponed for any reason you will be given the choice between a full refund or a credit toward a rescheduled event. While we cannot predict the future, there is an extremely low likelihood this event will ever be canceled.

FLORIDA: If it’s raining or not, we still highly recommend taking the North route into the park on River Rd. from downtown Dade City. The South route to the park takes you on Auton Rd. which is a long dirt road that can be rough, dirty and potentially muddy. TAKE RIVER RD…DO NOT TAKE AUTON RD (we warned you!)

COLORADO: The main road to Hummingbird Ranch is mostly hard packed dirt and gravel, but can be muddy in spots. The meadows are grassy hard-packed clay with various plants mowed short (including some small cactus) with a thin layer of powdery clay soil that can become pretty sticky after a short rain.

Yes, there will be a few food trucks available for lunch and dinner and at least one food truck selling coffee and light morning food on Saturday and Sunday morning. Check out out the information on the schedule pages.

There will also be a Tiki Bar in the Leafy Lounge selling a variety of drinks (including non-alcoholic) between 4pm and 11pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. More details here on the the schedule pages (see above).

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, the event sponsors will host a happy hour in the Leafy Lounge. Camping ticket holders will be given one free drink ticket that they can redeem at the bar for a free drink. Please note this is one drink ticket per camping ticket – not per attendee.

You’re also welcome to bring your own food and beverages (including alcoholic beverages). We also encourage you to bring your own cups, plates, silverware and other utensils to minimize waste on-site during the event!

We have made it our goal to support locally owned businesses as much as possible during Peace Love & Vans. We have also made a conscious effort to support minority-owned businesses whenever possible. We’ll be adding the names/details of food trucks that will be attending to the schedule pages once we have that information.

Florida

Dade City which has restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, Publix, Wal-Mart, hotels, restaurants, etc. is about 10 minutes away. The park gates close at 6:30 PM. Once the gates to the park close we cannot open them. We strongly suggest you get all the supplies needed before the event and entering the park. The Publix will deliver via Instacart (we haven’t tested this but the manager of the Publix told us they have fulfilled orders to Withlacoochee River Park in the past).

Colorado

Our Colorado festival is held at the one-of-a-kind Hummingbird Ranch just outside of the tiny town of Rye, Colorado about 2.5 hours south of Denver and 45 minutes south of Pueblo.

Walsenburg is about 25 minutes south of Hummingbird Ranch and offers a Safeway, First Choice Market, Walsenberg Mercantile, gas stations and restaurants.

Rye is also a short drive from Hummingbird Ranch and is home to The Rye Cafe! They serve breakfast all day and you can’t go wrong with one of their delicious pizzas or cobblers!

Withlacoochee River Park (Florida) – There will be a few standard restrooms throughout the park but they are not near the camping field. We will have porta-pottis and hand washing stations. If your rig has bathroom facilities, we recommend using that. There is also a water tank fill station and dump station on site that you’re welcome to use during the event (see below). There are showers in the RV Forest campground, but they are for RV Forest campers only. The park staff monitors the RV Forest Campground bathroom and if they catch anyone without an RV Forest camping permit using the showers, that person will be asked to leave the park and they will not be given a refund.

Hummingbird Ranch (Colorado)

We’ll have porta-potties and handwashing stations conveniently located across the ranch. If your rig is equipped with its own bathroom facilities, we recommend utilizing them for your comfort. For showering, we offer outdoor showers on-site. You can purchase a shower token for $5, which provides a 10-minute shower.

Florida

Please see information about the various campgrounds above to see which campgrounds offer electrical/water hookups. Usually, these tickets are sold out within the first month of tickets going on sale.

Vanlife Outfitters is sponsoring a free charging and water bottle fill station with filtered water between the expo area and the Groovy Grove campground along Shakedown Street (see village map).

There is a free dump station (more info on that below) and a water fill at the gathering. We recommend you fill up on water and dump your tanks before you arrive to avoid lines. There are no hookups at each camping spot unless you purchase a hookup add-on space or RV Forest Space.

There is a single dump station available for camper ticket holders across Big Ma Road from the Groovy Grove campground. There are over 500 vans coming to this event. Imagine the line if even 20% of those (100 vans) need ten minutes each to dump their tank…That’s going to be a long line. 100 vans x 10 minutes = 1,000 minutes = a 16 hour line!

Colorado

The Hummingbird Ranch offers primitive/rustic camping WITHOUT HOOKUPS (no water, no dump station, no electric). We recommend filling your water and dumping your tanks before you arrive. Generators are allowed from 12pm-6pm in Chillville Campground only.

We will provide a water bottle refill station with potable water near Shakedown Street.

We HIGHLY encourage you to dump your tanks PRIOR to arriving at the gathering for the weekend. Many apps, including iOverlander, can help you locate a dump station on your way.

Florida

There is a dump station at the Flying J located at the I-75 exit for our event (exit 285 / SR52). This Flying J has gas, diesel, propane, a truck wash and free potable water! Dumping is $10 and only $7.50 for Good Sam members. If you don’t want to wait in a line to dump at the event, we highly recommend stopping here. The GPS for the Flying J is: 28.32589, -82.32223 and the address is: 29933 State Rd 52, Dade City, FL 33576.

If you ABSOLUTELY must use the dump station at the park upon arrival please do so right after checking in. You’ll check in at the welcome tent and then drive up to our first usher. Let this usher know that you need to dump and they will route you to the dump station from behind. By accessing the dump station area from the backside, we can prevent any restriction to the traffic flow entering the gathering. Do not drive directly to the dump station without being guided by the usher team. After your dump, you can drive back to the ushers and they will help you get to your campsite.

During the gathering, the dump station will only be available for emergency situations. Please do not plan on dumping during the gathering. If you have an emergency situation please find an usher or go to the Vanlife Outfitters Pavilion. They will help you and make sure that someone on our team can safely guide you to the dump station and back to your spot.

Under no circumstances should you enter the dump station without a team member helping.

If you need to dump on Monday morning, you can queue up with other campers by driving up to the day pass parking area and then over to the dump station from “behind”. Do not access the dump station from Big Ma Road. *Again, there are 300 vans coming to this event. Imagine the line if even 1/3 of those (100 vans) need ten minutes each to dump their tank…That’s going to be a long line. We definitely recommend dumping elsewhere if you can.

Along with the stuff you normally camp with, we recommend bringing the following:

Florida

  • Folding/camping chairs and/or a blanket. Many of the activities will be on lawn areas so you’ll want to have a nice place to sit.
  • Insect spray or other insect repellants.
  • Flashlights/headlamps. The site of the event is in the woods so it has very limited artificial light.
  • Plenty of food and beverage for the length of the event. You’re welcome to bring anything you wish to enjoy during the gathering and with all that we have planned, you probably won’t want to leave to go shopping!
  • Costume! We’re encouraging folks to dress up in their grooviest 60’s and 70’s inspired clothes during Saturday night’s live music performance. But, there’s no reason you can’t be far out the entire time, right?
  • Your own cup, plates, and silverware. We will be doing our best to eliminate waste and the use of disposable items.
  • Sunblock, hats, sunglasses and other forms of sun protection (Florida in February is cool and sunny).
  • Hiking gear and/or a bike if you want to explore the wide range of nature trails in the park.
  • If you’re exhibiting your van in the OpenVan tours or entering it into the DIY Build Contest, we recommend that you to bring decorations and signage about your van that highlight its unique features to encourage people to take a tour and possibly vote for your rig in the contest! Please read the details on the event’s schedule page.

Colorado

  • Clothing that suits the entire range of weather conditions you’re likely to experience in a single day.
  • Folding/camping chairs and/or a blanket. Many of the activities will be in the meadow areas or tucked into the trees so you’ll want to have a nice place to sit.

  • Sunscreen and sun protection.
  • Insect spray or other insect repellants.
  • Jackets/ponchos/umbrellas and other gear for rain.
  • Flashlights/headlamps and other light sources for your campsite and navigating the site after dark.
  • Leveling equipment for your van/RV if you want to correct for the slope.
  • Credit card for purchases of event merchandise, food, beverages, drinks, ice, etc.
  • If you’re in a van/RV we recommend having a full water tank and some kind toilet system. There is no place to fill or dump tanks on site.

  • If you’re tent camping, we recommend having a cart/wagon for moving your gear (see map).
  • Costume! We’re encouraging folks to dress up in their grooviest 60’s and 70’s inspired clothes during Saturday night’s live music performance. But, there’s no reason you can’t be far out the entire time, right?

Please read the campground information above. Some campgrounds allow generators during specific hours.

Sorry, No. The day pass lot is for day pass attendee parking only. We can’t accommodate extra cars.

If you have some members of your camping party arriving at a different time and in a different vehicle than the camping ticket holder, place email us at hello@peacelovevans.com for special arrangements.

Most of the camp sites do NOT include electrical connections/hookups. If you need electrical service for any medical equipment and don’t have that off-grid capability in your camping rig, be sure to read whether or not the campground you’re purchasing a ticket for has hookups on the camping tickets page (links below). Generators are NOT allowed at night.

Unfortunately, we do not allow any kind of installation, modification or building at Peace Love & Vans. You’re more than welcome to discuss working on projects with other vanlifers, DIYers or Builders at a different location after the event, but installs or modifications during the event is not permitted. That includes you working on your own van or you working on someone else’s van or someone else working on your van.

Unfortunately, it’s not fair to our paid sponsors and exhibitors for people who didn’t pay to be an official exhibitor/vendor (in the exhibitor/vendor area)…to sell at the event. It’s also not fair to campers to be solicited or have their neighbor soliciting when they are trying to relax and have fun at their campsite. We’ve made it very affordable to be an official exhibitor/vendor at the event. Anyone who is vending or soliciting at their van will be asked to stop, a second warning will result in ejection from the event without refund. Please see Terms & Conditions.

Please see our Florida or Colorado schedule pages for complete details.

Low-level music is allowed, but please consider those around you. Quiet time starts at 9 pm and will be enforced in the respect of others. Also, there will be live music at the Swingin’ Stage on Friday Saturday and Sunday nights so please be respectful of those musicians.

Sorry, drones are not allowed – any drones seen flying belong to media staff.

Unfortunately, we are going to be very busy with organizing the event and it will be very difficult to make special concessions. Here are a few bits of information that might be useful for you.

Chillville is the quietest campground.

The later you arrive, the further away you will be from the PA system. If you like quiet, arrive closer to 6pm so that you’re parked in the farthest rows/roads from the main activity areas.

Please check the schedule pages for times when there will be live music.

The sites of our events are in rural areas that have reasonable service for the local population but they tend to be overwhelmed during our festivals with thousands of extra people in the area. Starlink type satellite service works very well.

The official Instagram for Peace Love & Vans is @peacelovevans. The official hashtag for the event this year is #peacelovevans26. You can see our other social media links at the bottom of very page.

We expect the camping passes to sell out (they have in all prior years), so below are some alternatives for people who want to camp in the vicinity. They can also search on apps like iOverlander, Sekr or Campendium (now RoadPass).
